Housing Consultant Wanted

The Social Housing Unit currently consists of six employees.

We work on behalf of the authorities and offer housing solutions to individuals who, for various reasons, cannot arrange their own housing. We assist in organizing both temporary and more long-term housing solutions within disability care and individual and family care. The work is based on collaboration with various property owners, both municipal and private.

We are now looking for a housing consultant!

Your Responsibilities

As a housing consultant, you will work with various types of housing social issues within the unit, such as housing referrals to LSS housing and planning and managing contracts together with clients and their representatives. Your tasks will include ordering and drafting lease agreements, conducting follow-up home visits, and terminating agreements.

The job involves regular contact with individuals in need of support in housing matters, where you act as the social services contact person with other stakeholders in cases concerning individuals' housing needs. You will work closely with colleagues within the LSS authority, SoL under 65 years, and the authority's operations within individual and family care and disability care.

In this role, you will also collaborate with the municipality's property department and other property owners. The work includes both administrative tasks and some practical work moments, such as furnishing apartments.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker. You have a B driver's license and fluent knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as well as basic knowledge of English.

We view positively if you have experience in:

• Rental legislation
• Authority operations IFO or FO
• Housing support
• Individuals within the intellectual or social psychiatric field
• Individuals with substance abuse issues or mental health problems

To succeed in the role of housing consultant, you are structured, responsible, and confident in your professional role. You have good communication skills and meet people in a professional, attentive, and respectful manner. You work independently, are flexible and solution-oriented, and have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders. The job also requires accuracy, integrity, and the ability to handle administrative tasks in a structured way. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
